The above quote has nothing to do with today's topic, but it made me laugh.
Anyhoo, I'm in a pickle, a jam, a tangled web, a quandry, a tight space.... ya da
I've got so much to do and I just can't seem to work myself into even a half a frenzy to do it.
Gmar has had a flurry of doctors appointments the past two weeks. So back and forth to Wilmington.
I finally got her tax information gathered and to the bookkeeper, but it took me all day. Not to gather the stuff, but to clean her desk out so I could find the places to look for the stuff. A lot of filing. But I burned a lot of old stuff as well, so that felt good.
Then to Wilmington again to the bookkeeper and to do other errands. I got more pots for tomatoes, some fertilizer stakes for the trees, some chicken food and some spiffy new gardening gloves.
The next day I went to look for the gloves and couldn't find them. Dang. But I staked all the fruit trees and the shade trees. I transplanted a couple of things in pots that were very sad. I made up and planted my herb seed beds. I transplanted my tomatoes into individual containers. And I found out that carrots and bok choy like each other. The bok choy I transplanted with the carrots are twice as big as the bok choy alone. The soil, sun and water are all the same so it must be a synergist thing.
I got my two cherry trees today, which means that I have to plant them tomorrow. And I am not sure exactly where to put them yet. I've got to plant my chestnut bushes as well and not a clue as to where. You would think that almost 7 acres is plenty of room, but there is still so much not cleared.
I have tarped the garden to kill the weeds in preparation for my April planting and set the rest of my onions.
Two days ago I went to Silver Coast Winery to get me some.
Today I calked my auntie's pump house.
I have to clean out the chicken pen tomorrow. They are eating and pooping so much more now that the weather has gotten warmer.
Whew. I'm tired just writing it all down.
All work and no play makes Farmer Ann a dull blogger.
