We had a wonderful rain last night from a front coming through and it was 50 degrees this morning when I let the chickens out. Wonderful.
Today is the first day of deer season, so my walkies are over for a while. I got some good shroom pictures yesterday.

I heard the hunters out at about 7 am this morning, shooting already. There seems to be a big deer population cause there are so many acorns this year. I understand the need for population control but I still root for the deer. I guess because they leave my garden alone.
I also got the grass cut yesterday. We put the belt on the mower and it seems to do well, although the gear shifter is still wonky. So I am not totally convinced that I need a new one. Yet. I also did some weed eating. Still love the Husquvarna. With a name like that, it's gotta be good.
Busy day today. I am going to try to get Jim motivated to clean out the carport, since I am on my fall cleaning kick. And I want to get enough done to justify going to the auction tonite. I looked at the preview pictures and there is nothing I really want, so I will go for the entertainment.
And here's today's chick flick. Eating.
