| Goodbye miss broody one |
I am now having serious thoughts of letting miss broody two having a few fertile eggs to hatch. There is nothing like losing one to make you want more. Tomorrow I will watch for JW's favorites to lay their eggs, then slip them under MB2. After about 6 days, I can candle them to see if they are fertile. We'll see.
Checked the peach trees and butterfly garden today at church and all doing well. Gave them some water and they were happy. It was a really gorgeous day today, so after the women's green team meeting, I went to the garden. But I just didn't have the heart to do anything.
Took the dogs for walkies and we all seemed in the same mood. Not much exploring, sniffing, running, rolling. Today we will all mourn.
And I'm done.
Sob Sob
:( I love you ma.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh! Bye Miss Broody One. :( You definitely should let them have chickies. Do that thing you said (whatever that was. didn't understand a word of it.) It's Spring! Let the chicks begin!

ReplyDeleteChickie GPS tracking device anklets....if only they existed. So sorry to hear it :(
ReplyDeleteI agree with Elizabeth, I think it would be awesome to keep the flock going. As much as I liked the white ones you first had (were they leghorns?), the Buffs are so beautiful!
