Anyway, first I removed the wooden egg. Got my hand pecked hard, and repeatedly. Then I made the first transfer. Got my hand pecked repeatedly. Half an hour later, I had another egg and slipped it in. Got my hand pecked. An hour later, another volunteer. Got glared at. Another hour, another egg. Nothing.

I will try another 5 eggs tomorrow and hopefully some will be fertile.
In other news, I got more stuff done. It was a perfect day, warm and windy. I got three more rows preped in the garden. 10 more to go. Unfortunately, it's supposed to storm tomorrow and then go back into the 30s tomorrow pm.
Not an emergency, mildly pressin'
Also have to run to Burgaw tomorrow for Buddy's shots. Will pick up a few things like potting soil and a 1/4 inch punch (Judy, Judy, Judy) and take the chain saw chains to be sharpened.
I broke down today and ordered a plow attachment for my mantis tiller so I won't have to furrow my rows with the hoe anymore. My back just won't take it.
Managed 30 minutes of walkies and went to the river. Muskett immediately rolled in something FOUL. I sent him into the water, but it didn't help much. I made Jim wash him and Buddy when I got back.
