It all started this morning when I went to fill the feeder under the porch. Someone laid a teenie tiny egg! Just laying beside the feeder. I took a picture in comparison to a normal egg.

Actually, I like Lady Gaga, but she is an alien. In an egg.
I managed to get 50 feet of the back forty fence up today before it rained. It's just as well since I ran out of wire. I ordered 150 more feet, but it won't be in til next wednesday. It rained for a good 4 hours, which is well, so I didn't have to run the pump today.
I pulled MB2 off the nest for her nourishment and got a picture of the eggs.

I didn't realize until I put her back on the nest that she had the 8th egg hidden under a wing, so I put it back with the others.

Even when she is off the nest, she is in nesting posture the whole time. She stops eating every so often to pick up straw and put it around her, like she is building another nest. Funny.
Walkies was uneventful. I forgot my camera so no art today. Besides, it had just rained and there were no tracks on the road.
I had to take a picture of one of Mom's irises cause it was so beautiful.

There is another one beside it fixing to bloom in about 2 days. The picture really doesn't do justice to the colors.
Also, I caught this little fellow with a beak full of some sort of nesting material. He landed on my tripod for a short rest.

It's kinda blurry cause I had to snap before he flew off.
It looks like it may rain again, so I am going to go enjoy the coolness on the porch.

Wow, MB2 is really doing her thing there. I guess she doesn't trust you to let her get back to those eggs, so she secretly took one with her. I had no idea what funny creatures they are.
